Cub Cadet Tank S6031

The Cub Cadet Tank S6031 zero turn lawn mower may have the same cutting width as the likes of the Cub Cadet Tank L60, the Cub Cadet Tank M60-KH and the Cub Cadet Tank M60-KW zero turn lawnmowers. However, what’s interesting about it is that although it is a zero turn model, it uses a steering wheel instead of twin lap bars to control it. This makes it a lot easier to use for most people when compared to conventional zero turn mowers. The engine powering the Z6031 is a super powerful V twin Kawasaki. This engine produces 31 hp in power output and has a full pressure lubrication system. The engine utilizes a heavy duty, dual element air filter to prevent dust and other particulate matter from getting into the combustion chambers where it can potentially disrupt the combustion process and also clog the engine.

The engine on the Cub Cadet Tank S6031 lawnmower is fed with gasoline from dual fuel tanks that hold a maximum of 53 liters (14 US gallons) of gasoline. This gigantic fuel capacity is indicative that the S 6031 is commercial vehicle. Power from the engine is transferred to the wheels through a combination of dual Hydro-Gear PK12 pumps and Parker wheel motors. This system gives the lawnmower a top speed of 16.1 kph (10 mph).

The Cub Cadet Tank S6031 uses Cub Cadet’s Synchro Steer technology that allows it to have a steering wheel instead of a set of lap bars for controlling it. Unlike a lot of zero turn lawnmowers that have very small front wheels, the front wheels on the S 6031 are actually fairly large. They each measure 16×6.5-8 (16 inch diameter, 6.5 inch width, 8 inch rim diameter). The rear wheels which power the machine forward each measure 24×12-12 (24 inch diameter, 12 inch width, 12 inch rim diameter). The mower deck on this lawnmower has a cutting width of 60 inches.
