Cub Cadet 221 HP Snow Blower

The Cub Cadet 221 HP Snow Blower is the entry level model of snow blower from Cub Cadet. There is also a variant of it called the Cub Cadet 221 LHP Snow Thrower, but this article is going to focus on the regular 221HP snowblower. The engine powering this snow blower is a Cub Cadet built 4 stroke engine that has a displacement of 0.18 liters. This gives it enough power to deal with small to medium depths of snow. Thankfully it’s very easy to start this snowblower. It comes with a 110 V push button electric start, which means that there is no need to worry about having to pull start it!

The clearing width of the Cub Cadet 221 HP snow blower is 0.53 m (21 inches), while it has an intake height of 0.33 m (13 inches). The auger used in in the clearing area of the 221HP snow thrower has a diameter of 0.23 m (9 inches). Unlike a lot of other brands that use only steel augers, this auger is a composite of rubber, reinforced with steel. This machine does not have an impeller as it’s just a single stage snow thrower.

The chute on the Cub Cadet 221 HP snow blower can rotate up to 190 degrees so you easily angle the expelled snow away from the areas you want to keep clear. As this snow thrower is a small one, the chute is manually rotated by a large handle at the back of it. There is also a deflector at the top of the chute to more accurately control the direction of the snow. The fuel tank for this model is capable of holding 1.9 liters of gasoline. The 221 HP is a very light snow thrower weighing just 39.9 kg (88 lbs). It also has a collapsible handle which makes it very compact and easy to stow away.
