Snow Joe SJ803 Snow Blower

The Snow Joe SJ803 Snow Blower is a 21 inch snow thrower powered by an engine designed and built in house by Snow Joe. It’s a 4 stroke, Snow Joe Power engine that has a displacement of 0.18 liters that provides the machine with 9 ft-lbs of torque. It has a fuel tank that is capable of holding up to 1.9 liters (0.5 US gallons) of gasoline. This is a single stage snow thrower and so only has an auger but no impeller.

The auger on the Snow Joe SJ803 single stage snowblower propels it forward as well as cutting up the snow in front of it. The auger is positioned so that it is actually comes into contact with the ground below it. As the auger spins very quickly, it acts very much like a wheel, providing traction and pulling the machine forward. As the auger is gripping the ground, it could potentially damage the ground, so to prevent any damage from occurring, the auger has been made from rubber instead of serrated steel. However this rubber auger is still strong enough to easily cut into and break up the snow in front of it. It also forces the snow out through the chute.

The chute on the Snow Joe SJ803 snow thrower is made from plastic instead of steel as it helps to prevent blockages from occurring. This plastic chute can rotate up to 180 degrees. It also has a deflector on top to give the operator extra precision as to where he is aiming the snow. The wheels on the SJ803 single stage snow thrower do not provide it with any traction and this is why the wheels are so narrow at just 0.04 m (1.7 inches) wide. They have a diameter of 0.18 m (7 inches). This snow blower has an intake height of just 0.28 m (11 inches) while it’s clearing width is o.53 m (21 inches). If you are looking for a machine that’s bigger, then make sure to check out the Snow Joe SJ905 Snow Blower or the Snow Joe SJ906 Snow Blower while if you are looking for something smaller have a look at the Snow Joe SJ622 Snow Blower.
