The John Deere 200 tractor is an old and not very well know machine (if you are looking for the John Deere 200 lawn mower, just click here). This tractor first rolled off the JD production lines in 1966 in Mannheim, Germany. The engine that powers the JD 200 is a diesel model that JD built themselves. This engine has a total displacement of 1.4 liters and is liquid cooled. The maximum power output from this engine comes to 24.7 hp. The gearbox on this machine is not particularly fancy (unlike some of the newer JD tractors). It gives the operator 6 speeds going forward and 2 for reversing.

There are a number of interesting features on the John Deere 200 that weren’t available on previous machines. These include things like headlights so that it could be used in low light as well as the dark. The total shipping weight of the JD 200 tractor is 1476 kg (3255 lbs). The tractor is built on a 2WD chassis.

To keep your review balanced, try to include both the positive as well as the negative points on the JD 200.
