Husqvarna GTH2648

The Husqvarna GTH2648 garden tractor lawnmower is one of Husqvarna’s larger machines. This lawn mower gets it’s power from a Briggs and Stratton Intek gasoline engine. This Intek engine is a 2 cylinder that has a power output of 26 hp. The GTH 2648 uses a hydrostatic transmission to bring power from the engine to the wheels. The hydrostatic transmission makes the mower an automatic with no need for gear changing. You just need to use the foot pedals to change your speed.

husqvarna gth2648The rear wheels on the Husqvarna GTH2648 are very large turf tires that have a diameter of 23 inches. It’s these wheels that provide the grip and traction to the GTH-2648. These tires easily grip practically all surfaces without slipping or leaving major tire marks during operation (which something you definitely don’t want on you lawn). Even though this is a fairly large machine, it actually has a very small turning radius of just 18 inches so that you will be able to use it effectively in even the tightest and narrowest of gardens.

The fuel tank on the Husqvarna GTH2648 can hold up to 15.1 liters (4 US gallons). The mower deck has a cutting width of 48 inches. It’s total width is actually about 10 inches greater than this due to the discharge flap located on the side. For dealing with the cut grass clippings, you can just discharge them on the lawn or you can use a mulching plug to turn them in to a nutritious mulch that will quickly rot. However if you want you lawn looking really neat, you can always buy an optional bagger attachment to collect the clippings. Similar models to this one include the Husqvarna YTH2246 and the Husqvarna YTH2242 tractor mowers, although those ones a little smaller. Click Here to buy the Husqvarna GTH2648.
