McCulloch M12530

The engine powering the McCulloch M12530 garden tractor lawnmower is a single cylinder Briggs and Stratton. This engine uses a splash lubrication system to stay oiled during operation. The engine has a dry type air filter which prevents dust and other small particles from entering into the combustion chamber during operation and potentially wrecking the combustion process. The engine transfers power to drive the wheels by first passing power through a manual gearshift system. This system gives the M12530 five speeds traveling forward and 1 for reversing.

The rear wheels on the McCulloch M12530 which drive it forwards each measure 16×6.5-8 (16 inch diameter, 6.5 inch width, 8 inch rim diameter). The front wheels are smaller and responsible for steering the M125 30 garden tractor lawnmower. They each measure 13×5-6 (13 inch diameter, 5 inch width, 6 inch rim diameter). The mower deck itself on this lawnmower has a cutting width that measures 0.77 m (30 inches). The mower deck is manually engaged and is belt driven. Many people just allow the grass clippings to get discharged out the side of the mower deck. However, there are other options. You can purchase a rear bagger attachment which collects the clippings, making you lawn looks a lot neater. You can also optionally purchase a mulching plug for it.

The McCulloch M12530 comes with headlights as standard so that it’s fairly easy to operate in the dark. Many people find this feature particularly handy in the winter when using the snow blower attachment as it means they can clear their driveway of snow early in the morning before work. The medium back drivers seat on the M12530 is very adjustable. It can be moved both forwards and backwards so that you will always be able to find a comfortable operating position for your height.
