The Simplicity P1738E Snow Blower is the largest snowblower available from Simplicity. It is from the Simplicity Signature Pro Commercial Duty Dual Stage series. The clearing width of this snow thrower is a very large 0.97 m (38 inches). With a clearing width this large, it’s a rarity that you’ll find it in operation by individuals. Instead this snow blower is pretty much only ever used by commercial snow clearing crews and contractors. Thanks to it’s Briggs and Stratton Professional series engine that produces 16.5 ft-lbs of torque, this snow blower will make mince meat of virtually all snow drifts it tackles.

The fuel tank on the Simplicity P1738E snowblower holds up to 3.8 liters (1 US gallon) of gasoline, allowing for a long operating time between refills. It also has hand warmers in the handle bars, again prolonging the time at which the operator can use this snow thrower without needing a rest. The P1738E snow thrower uses a heavy duty, friction disc drive transmission that gives it 5 speeds when in forward motion and 2 speeds for reversing.

While the Simplicity P1738E snow blower has a clearing width of 0.97 m (38 inches), it’s intake height is 0.5 m (19.75 inches) which will be enough to tackle even incredibly heavy snow falls. The auger that first cuts up the snow has a diameter of 0.36 m (14 inches) and is made from serrated steel so that it can even tackle small branches and bits of debris without much problem. The impeller on the P1738E has a diameter of 0.3 m (12 inches) and consists of 4 blades that powerfully force snow out through the chute at the top of the housing. The chute is 0.15 m (6 inches) wide and is built from steel. It can rotate through 200 degrees which is controlled from the operator’s station and the deflector at the top is also controlled remotely. This snow blower is far bigger than any of the Simplicity Compact Single Stage Snow Blowers or the Simplicity P1738E Snow Blower.
