The Poulan Pro 541ZX zero turn lawnmower is one of the largest and most powerful lawn mowers manufactured by Poulan Pro. There are similar machines to this one that include the Poulan Pro 540ZX, which has a slightly higher powered engine, but the same sized cutting width. The engine powering the Pro 541ZX is a Briggs and Stratton Professional Series single cylinder engine. The engine is started using a 12 volt battery that is then recharged using a 16 amp alternator once the engine is ticking over. It’s air cooled and uses a standard air filter to purify the air intake of particulate matter that could potentially disrupt the combustion process. The engine gets it’s fuel from a fuel tank that can hold up to 13.2 liters (3.5 US gallons) of gasoline.

Power from the engine gets to the wheels through a dual hydrostatic, Hydro Gear EZT transmission. The operator controls each rear wheel separately with each lap bar in front of him (right lap bar for right rear wheel, left lap bar for left rear wheel). The mower deck on the Poulan Pro 541ZX has a cutting width of 54 inches. It houses 3 mower blades and is made from 13 gauge stamped steel. It also has 4 anti-scalping wheels to help protect your lawn from potentially getting scarred.

The rear wheels on the Poulan Pro 541ZX carry most of the weight. That’s why they are the biggest, measuring 18×9.5-8 (18 inch diameter, 9.5 inch width, 8 inch rim diameter) while the front wheels which really only keep the mower deck elevated each measure 11×4-5 (11 inch diameter, 4 inch width, 5 inch rim diameter). The total weight of the machine comes to 290.3 kg (640 lbs). When buying the Poulan Pro 541ZX zero turn lawnmower new, it comes with a 3 year limited warranty for individuals purchasing it for personal residential use. This lawnmower is capable of cutting up to 2.8 acres per hour.
