The McCulloch PM105 Snow Blower is a much larger snow blower than the likes of the McCulloch PM55 Dual Stage Snow Blower or even the McCulloch PM85 Snow Blower. It is powered by a Briggs and Stratton Snow Series engine that is highly reliable. Many quality brands use Briggs and Stratton Snow Series engines in their snowblowers. This 4 stroke engine is very convenient as it means you never need to worry about mixing gasoline with oil, you just add them separately to the machine and the engine does the mixing itself.

This Briggs and Stratton engine on the McCulloch PM105 Snow Blower is started by an electric starter button that you simply need to press (when the machine is plugged into the mains electricity). Or you can start it by pulling the pull cord. The clearing width of the PM 105 snow thrower is 0.76 m (30 inches) and it has an intake height of 0.58 m (23 inches). This should be big enough to tackle most overnight snowfalls in just one passing.

The auger housed inside the McCulloch PM105 dual stage snowblower is made from serrated steel that has been aligned so that it shuffles the snow if breaks up towards the center of the machine where the impeller is located. The impeller then sucks up the snow and spits it out at high speeds through the chute. The impeller is constructed from steel and consists of 3 blades. It has a diameter of 0.3 m (12 inches). The chute which channels the snow away from the machine is constructed from steel and is remotely controlled from the operators station via a 4 way joystick. The deflector on top of the chute which accurately controls where the snow is aimed is also controlled from the operator’s station.
