John Deere 6115D

Just like the John Deere 6100D utility tractor, the John Deere 6115D is also built in the Saltillo plant which is located in Mexico. Like pretty much every single tractor built recently by the team at JD, this machine is powered by an engine that JD built themselves. This is a John Deere PowerTech 4045H engine that produces 117 hp. The engine fires at a compression ratio of 19:1 and it’s liquid cooled. This 4 cylinder turbocharged engine transfers power to the wheels through a choice of 2 gear boxes, much like on the JD 6100D. These are a top shaft synchronized gear box that gives the tractor 9 forward gears and 3 for reversing, while the PowrReverser transmission gives the 6115D 9 speeds when traveling forward and 9 when it’s reversing. The top shaft synchronized gear box gives it a top speed of 28.8 kph (17.9 mph) when traveling forwards, while the PowrReverser gives it a top speed of 29.8 kph (18.5 mph).

The John Deere 6115D is a large utility tractor that can pull relatively heavy loads and can accommodate fairly large attachments and implements. As a result, you will often need to add weight plates to the either the front or the back of the machine to keep it balanced. Alternatively you can just add the weights to the wheels.

Starting the engine on the John Deere 6115D is done with a 12 volt battery that supplies 925 cold cranking amps. This battery is kept charged thanks to a 90 amp alternator. The weight of the JD 6115D varies due to 2 factors; 1) Whether you get it with a cab or just an open operator station with ROPS. 2) Whether you choose a 2WD or 4WD version. The minimum turning radius for the JD 6115D is 2.1 m on the 2WD version, while on the 4WD version, it’s 4.5 m. You can find out more about this tractor on the official JD website by clicking here.

6115D Cab/Loader….wont go 6-7 hours just mowing without all the lights coming on…single 12″deck mower…hydraulics fail at this time, wont raise the mower deck. STOP light comes on and you have to walk back to wherever your trust vehicle is….wouldn’t own one..

    Bad

    Year of Manufacture: 2013
Pros: It looks nice? Hard to tell it’s good points when all it does is sit on the grass.
Cons: Hasn’t worked since I got it. First it won’t start when it’s cold out. Then it starts jumping into neutral. Have not been able to use it at all. Worst $100,000 I ever spent.
