Husqvarna LZF6127

The Husqvarna LZF6127 zero turn lawn mower is a very large and powerful machine that you are more likely to find being used by commercial landscaping crews as opposed to individuals on their lawns. This is mainly due to the fact that it has a massive cutting width of 61 inches that would be just plain inefficient on a small suburban garden. The LZF 6127 uses a super powerful Kohler engine that produces 27 hp in power output. This engine transfers power to the wheels through a dual hydrostatic transmission that enables the operator to control the machine through the twin lap bars. This transmission gives the zero turn mower a top speed of 16.1 kph (10 mph) going forwards, while in reverse it can reach 8 kph (5 mph).

The mower deck on the Husqvarna LZF6127 as mentioned before has a cutting width of 61 inches. Inside the deck are 3 blades that work to give an even cut. The mower deck has an incredibly large operating range of 4.5 inches from a low of 1.5 inches to a high of 6 inches above the ground. Raising and lowering of the mower deck on the LZF 6127 is pretty easy thanks to a spring assisted foot pedal.

The rear wheels on the Husqvarna LZF6127 are responsible for powering it as well as turning it. They also carry most of it’s weight. It’s for this reason that they are bigger. They each measure 23×9.5-12 (23 inch diameter, 9.5 inch width, 12 inch rim diameter). The front wheels carry a lot less weight, which means they are a lot smaller, measuring in at 13×6.5-6 (13 inch diameter, 6.5 inch width, 6 inch rim diameter). The total weight of the LZF 6127 comes to 467.2 kg (1030 lbs). Please leave your thoughts in a review below to let others know what you think of this zero turn lawn mower.

We had previously used a 60″ mowing deck behind a Kubota B7800 compact tractor and now only use that unit when we have very wet conditions. We have many acres of lawn and pasture to mow and the LZF6127 really kicks butt. My wife loves running it also.

We shopped the LZF6127 on line and bought it from Village Feed in Unionville, VA. They had a good price on the unit. I can not recommend them as they did a terrible job of setting up the unit for us. Luckily, we have a local dealer (Clegg’s Diesel Marine in Wicomico Church, VA) that did our warranty work and is excellent to deal with.

    Year of Manufacture: 2010
Pros: Fast cutting, ease of use and seems to be extremely well built.
Cons: We had a problem with one hydro-static pump but it was covered under warranty.
