The Honda HS928TAS Snow Blower is a little different to the Honda HS928WA Snow Blower as it has tracks instead of wheels. These provide many distinct advantages to over the regular Honda HS928WA Snow Blower. The most obvious is that the tracks provide far superior grip to the snow blower when it’s traveling over slippy and icy surfaces. The HS928TAS gets it’s power from a Honda designed and built GX270 engine that has a displacement of 0.27 liters. Most people plug the engine into the mains to start it, but some people use the mitten grip, pull cord recoil system to start it. Both ways are quite easy as the engine has automatic decompression.

Thanks to it’s fuel tank that’s capable of holding 6 liters (1.58 US gallons) of gasoline, the Honda HS928TAS snow blower is capable of up to 2.5 hours of continuous operation before you need to refuel it. Power is transferred from the engine to the wheels via a hydrostatic transmission. The hydrostatic transmission gives this dual stage snow thrower unlimited gears while it’s traveling forwards and it also has unlimited gears when it’s traveling in reverse. Thanks to it’s rubber tracks, this machine works especially well on ice or heavily compacted snow.

Hopefully you guessed from the name of the Honda HS928TAS dual stage snow blower, that it has a clearing width of 0.71 m (28 inches). The intake height of the housing is 0.51 m (20 inches) but it can actually tackle snow deeper than this thanks to the option of drift cutting knives that can be attached to the side of the housing. The total weight of this 28 inch snowblower comes to 108.9 kg (240 lbs) before it has been fueled up and oil has been added. This snowblower is capable of throwing snow up to 14.9 m (49 feet) from it’s chute. The discharge chute can rotate up to 210 degrees so that you can always find somewhere to point it.
