The John Deere 4210 compact utility tractor is small enough to almost look like a large tractor lawn mower. The tractor is the smallest model in a large series that also includes the John Deere 4310 and the John Deere 4710 tractors. The JD 4210 works with a huge range of implements and attachments from harrows to mid mounted mower decks to sprayers and utility carts. The tractor comes with a 4X2 2WD chassis as standard, but you have the option of purchasing it with a 4X4 MFWD 4WD chassis.

The engine that powers the John Deere 4210 compact utility tractor is a Yanmar 3TNE82A. This engine is diesel powered and has natural aspiration. It’s liquid cooled with a cooling system that needs to be filled with 5.3 liters of water. The engine fires at a compression ratio of 18.5:1. The lubrication system has a capacity to hold 3.8 liters of motor oil. The engine has a dry type air filter to clean the air intake of contaminants before it enters into the combustion chambers. The total power output from this Yanmar engine is 27 hp. If you don’t choose the partially synchronized SyncShift transmission which gives the JD 4210 nine forward speeds and 3 for reversing, you can opt for a hydrostatic eHydro transmission (that operates over 3 ranges; Hi, Medium, Lo). Obviously if you are not a fan of constantly changing gears, then you should opt for the eHydro transmission.

The rear wheels on the John Deere 4210 each measure 11.2-24 (11.2 inch width, 24 inch rim diameter). The size of the front wheels vary. On the 2WD chassis model they each measure 4-15 (4 inch width, 15 inch rim diameter), while on the 4WD chassis version, they each measure 7-14 (7 inch width, 14 inch rim diameter). The category one, 3 point hitch on this tractor has a maximum lifting capacity of 771 kg (1700 lbs). The JD 4210 superseded the John Deere 4200 compact utility tractor.
