John Deere 125

The John Deere 125 is another large lawn mower often used by garden contractors and landscapers due to it’s powerful engine and robustness. Like a large amount of JD garden tractors, the John Deere 125 was quickly superseded by another model and only had a production run of one year in 2006.

It’s electronic, Tuff Torq T40 transmission, makes starting it a breeze. Going forward, the 125 tops out at 5.5mph while moving in reverse, it can manage a very respectable 3.2mph. It has a wheelbase of 48.9 inches while the deck has a width of 42 inches, making light work of most small to medium sized commercial jobs. The deck is also adjustable to 7 different positions so you always get the cut height you want. While lengthwise it measures 69 inches (175cm) and has a turn radius of 18 inches (50cm). It also comes with powerful headlights making operating this machine in low light or the dark very easy.

When operating the John Deere 125, you have the choice of using a mulch cover or instead, collecting the grass in a bag using the bagger. As the the JD 125 is often used in large commercial projects, John Deere has provided cruise control as standard, making operating it for long periods very easy. It also uses the CargO Mount system which enables you to quickly hook up and detach implements whether it is a snow blower, roller, scarifier or snow blade. The whole tractor has been built from strong 12 gauge steel, so you know that it will easily be able to withstand all the knocks and bumps that hard use can throw at it.
