Poulan Pro PBGT26H54

The Poulan Pro PBGT26H54 garden tractor lawn mower is one of the biggest and most powerful tractor mower models from Poulan Pro. It’s very similar to the Poulan Pro PB26H54YT and is a little more powerful than the likes of the Poulan Pro PB23H48YT lawn mower. The engine that powers the PBGT 26H54 mower is an Intek model that supplies the lawn mower with 26 hp. The engine is air cooled and uses a paper air filter to prevent particulate matter from entering into the combustion chambers. This 2 cylinder engine has a displacement of 0.724 liters. It’s fuel tank is fairly big, capable of holding up to 15.1 liters (4 US gallons) of gasoline.

The Poulan Pro PBGT26H54 is very easy to operate, thanks to it’s Tuff Torq K66 hydrostatic transmission. This transmission means you never have to worry about gear changing and it gives the PBGT26 H54 a top speed of 8.4 kph (5.2 mph) when moving forwards and a speed of 4.7 kph (2.9 mph) when it’s reversing. As the engine produces a lot of power, it is capable of supporting a large mowing deck that has a cutting width of 54 inches. This deck is made from stamped steel and has a cutting range of 2.5 inches, from a low of 1.5 inches above the ground to a high of 4 inches above the ground. The mower deck is raised and lowered in half inch increments.

The mower deck on the Poulan Pro PBGT26H54 consists of 3 blades. The blades are engaged using an electric clutch mechanism. On the edge of the mower deck, you will notice 6 small anti scalping wheels. These prevent the deck from catching the ground as it travels over it. If you have ever operated or previously owned a PBGT 26H54 lawn tractor, then please make sure to leave a review of it below, making sure to highlight both the positive and negative experiences you’ve had using it.
