John Deere 5055D

The John Deere 5055D utility tractor is very similar to the John Deere 5055E for a number of reasons. They both use the same engine and look relatively similar. However they are completely separate and different machines. The JD 5055D is powered by a PowerTech engine that produces 55 hp. This power then gets routed to the wheels thanks to a SyncReverser transmission that provides the utility tractor with 8 forward gears and 4 gears for reversing. This transmission setup gives the tractor a very respectable top speed of 29 kph (18.1 mph). The engine is keystarted using a 12 volt battery.

The John Deere 5055D comes with a number of safety features as standard which makes owning and operating it very easy. Obviously it comes with a roll bar (ROPS) as standard. This is a foldable, 2 post ROPS which makes storing it in low ceiling sheds very easy. There are also halogen lights mounted so that you can see both in front and behind the tractor when it’s dark outside. You’ll notice that the seat is also very comfortable and comes with a seat belt. You’ll also notice that all the controls on the JD 5055D are located within easy reach of the operator so that you never have to stretch to adjust them.

The 5D, category 2, 3 point hitch on the back of the John Deere 5055D utility tractor can accommodate a huge variety of different attachments. This hitch has a maximum lift capacity of 1282 kg (2828 lbs). If you happen to own a JD 5055D, then please try and leave a review about it below. Make sure to include as many details as you can. This includes things like the year of manufacture, any modifications that you have made to it and what attachments you use with it.
