Toro Power Max 726 OE Snow Blower

The Toro Power Max 726 OE snow blower is quite the monster indeed. It is powered by a Briggs and Stratton Snow Series engine that has been specifically designed for snow throwers. This 4 stroke engine has an engine displacement of 0.2 liters. The Toro 726 OE is started via a choice of either a recoil system (the traditional pull starting system) or via an electric starter switch. This starter switch is not battery powered. Rather you need to plug in the Toro 726 into the mains to use the electric starter.

The 14 inch serrated steel, Power Max auger sits in an opening that is 0.66 m (26 inches) wide and can eat through 862 kg (1900 lbs) of snow every minute, making light work of even large areas that need clearing. Once the auger cuts up the snow, it is then fed towards a steel impeller that measures 0.3 m (12 inches) wide which sucks up the snow and forces it out of the Toro 726 OE’s deflector chute. The impeller blade on this dual stage snowblower provides so much force that it can eject snow up to 13.7 m (45 feet). The steel deflector chute on the Toro 726 OE snow thrower can rotate through 180 degrees allowing the operator a wide choice in where to direct the unwanted snow.

Understandably the Toro Power Max 726 OE Snow Blower requires more fuel than it’s smaller cousins like the Toro 221Q snow blower and the Toro CCR 2450 GTS snow thrower and as such has a fuel tank capable of holding 3 liters of gasoline. Using a friction disk transmission, the Toro 726 OE has 6 speeds when traveling forwards and 2 when reversing. It uses X Trac tires which offer enhance gripping even in very icy conditions.
