The Snapper L1630E Snow Blower is one of the biggest snowblowers available from Snapper. It is powered by a robust Briggs and Stratton Snow Series, 4 stroke engine. As it’s a 4 stroke, it’s a real time saver, meaning that you never need to mix fuel and oil yourself, the engine takes care of that. This engine produces 15.5 ft-lbs of torque which is transferred to the wheels, the auger and the impeller. The wheels on the L1630E are Arctic Trac which provide fantastic traction and help to prevent the snow thrower from slipping and sliding, even when it’s working on very icy surfaces.

If you are looking for a smaller Snapper snowblower, then check out the Snapper SS822E Snow Blower or the Snapper M1227E Snow Blower. However if you are looking for something bigger, the Snapper XL1738E Snow Blower has a massive clearing width of 38 inches. The clearing width of Snapper L1630E snowblower comes to 0.76 m (30 inches) while it has an intake height of 0.5 m (19.75 inches). When snow enters the housing, the auger first cuts it up into smaller chunks using it’s serrated edges. At the same time as time as cutting it up, the auger also moves the snow towards the middle of the housing where the impeller is located. The impeller consists of 4 steel blades and has a diameter of 0.3 m (12 inches).

The impeller sends the snow flying from the Snapper L1630E snow blower by channeling it through the chute which is made from steel and is 0.11 m (4 inches) wide. The rotation of this chute is controlled from the operator’s station. The chute can rotate through 200 degrees. The L1630E dual stage snow thrower uses skid shoes so that you can control the cutting height of the snowblower, thus preventing it from potentially scratching the surface you are clearing. These skid shoes are reversible which makes their lifespan much longer when compared regular skid shoes.
