The Murray 29 Inch Dual Stage Snow Blower is a medium sized machine that is bigger than the Murray 21 Inch Single Stage Snow Blower or even the Murray 27 Inch Dual Stage Snow Blower but it is considerably smaller than the Murray 33 Inch Dual Stage Snow Blower. The 29 inch snowblower from Murray is powered by a Briggs and Stratton Snow Series engine that has a displacement of 0.31 liters and is a 4 stroke. To start this machine you need to plug it in and simply press the 120 volt starter button. However many people won’t be near a power source when they need to start this engine. Luckily there is a mitten grip, pull cord, recoil system that they can use to start the engine instead, although this requires a little bit of effort. Power is transferred to the wheels via a friction disc transmission that gives the snow thrower 6 speeds when traveling forward and 2 while reversing.

While the clearing width of this Murray dual stage snow blower is 0.74 m (29 inches), it has an intake height of 0.53 m (21 inches). However it’s intake can be increased considerably if you add the optional drift cutters to the housing. The first line of snow clearing is the auger. This has a diameter of 0.3 m (12 inches) and is made from serrated steel that will easily cut up even the most compacted snow.

After the snow is broken up by the auger, the steel impeller which consists of 3 blades and has a diameter of 0.3 m (12 inches) shoots the snow far from the clearing area. This Murray 29 inch 2 stage snow blower can shoot snow up to 12.19 m (40 feet). The chute used to aim the snow away from the clearing area is made from plastic to help prevent any major blockages. This chute can rotate up to 190 degrees.
