Although MF are not well known for making snow throwers, they do in fact offer a few different models of snowblower like the Massey Ferguson 2360 snow blower. However this article is going to focus on the Massey Ferguson 1410 snowblower only. Probably the interesting thing about the MF 1410 is that it has a very large clearing width of 1.6 m (63 inches). This means that you will often find this beast of a snow thrower attached to a tractor clearing a path for cars to drive behind it. The MF 1410 started rolling out of the MF assembly plant in 2010.

The clearing height of the Massey Ferguson 1410 is 0.61 m (24 inches) s0 you will very regularly see this machine tackling snow drifts that smaller machines and snow plows can’t handle. The MF 1410 is a dual stage snow blower. This means that it uses both an auger to break up the snow and an impeller to force it through the chute at high speed. Both the auger and the impeller blade are built from steel to give them a long working life. The auger is serrated to maximize efficiency and the impeller has 4 blades so that it gives enough force to send even very large quantites of snow far from the the machine.

Because the Massey Ferguson 1410 snow blower needs a lot of power to operate properly, it draws it’s power from a mid PTO. The snow thrower itself is very easy to set up thanks to MF’s patented quick hitch technology so you won’t have to spend hours in the cold getting it ready. The chute uses a hydraulic system to rotate while the deflector at the top of the chute is operated manually as standard, or you can choose the option of an electronic system to control the deflector chute
