Kubota L3200

The Kubota L3200 is part of the very large and popular L series of compact tractors from Kubota. All of these tractors share the common trait that they are very versatile and useful at a number of different and varied jobs. This is because there are a number of different implements that can be attached to the L 3200. You can use 3 different sized rotary tillers that are attached to the rear of the tractor. These measure 40 inches, 50 inches and the largest is 60 inches wide. There are also 2 very large rear mounted dual stage snowblowers that can be attached to the rear of the tractor. The smaller of the 2 has a cutting width of 64 inches, while the larger snow blower has a cutting width of 74 inches.

These attachments are connected to the category 1, 3 point hitch on the rear of the Kubota L3200 tractor. This hitch has a maximum safe lifting capacity of 906 kg (1998 lbs). The L 3200 is also compatible with a Kubota BH77 backhoe. This backhoe is also compatible on the slightly more powerful Kubota L 3800 tractor. The Kubota LA524 front end loader can be attached to the front of the L3200 tractor.

The engine on the Kubota L3200 tractor uses indirect injection and is a 4 stroke. It’s a 3 cylinder model that has a rated speed of 2800 rpm. The engine has a total displacement of 1.499 liters and has a maximum power output of 32 hp. This engine is started with a key start ignition that uses a 12V battery that provides 490 cold cranking amps to the engine. A 45 amp alternator is used to recharge the battery once the engine is ticking over. The fuel tank on the L 3200 tractor can hold up to 38 liters (10 US gallons). I love my L3200DT. I purchased it to replace a L2050DT, and glad I did. It came with FEL, and Industrial tires. I already had 5ft implements and it has given me excellent service. It’s not too big for small jobs, but big enough for large jobs. I sometimes do commercial jobs with it, and it has performed excellent. I looked at the other brands, but dollar for dollar, I went back to Kubota.

HST drive makes this tractor very easy to operate. Kubota tractors have a reputation for reliability. Hydraulics are very weak and all filters and oils were changed at 80 hours. there was a lot of metal in magnetic hydraulic filter.

    Year of Manufacture: 2013
Pros: Great fuel economy, easy fluid changes. Removal of back hoe and loader is very easy. There is a vast network of Kubota Dealers.Tractor is a L3200 HST 260 hours power is adequate, wish I would have went with L3800
Cons: I went with industrial tires and they only work on hard pack surface. This tractor does not have any traction on slippery surfaces, the front tires are like racing slicks. Industrial tires are also low profile (40″ versus 44″) which limits ground clearance. If you use tractor in dirt get ag tires. Tractor has a very weak hydraulic system, will not lift a full bucket of gravel. Complained to Dealer and he said system was normal. Very poor Dealer service.
Attachments: Front end loader withquick release, Backhoe with 16″ bucket, 60″ mower, 50″ rotovator, 72″ blade
    Modifications: None

I use the L3200HST around the farm as a chore tractor and have been satisfied with the versatility.

    Year of Manufacture: 0
Pros: Perfect size for barn lot and garden use. Fuel economy is great.
Cons: Fuel gauge is off by half a tank. Headlight switch doesn’t work. Tractor has 50 hours on it. No dealer/ warranty support at all.
Attachments: loader, rotary mower, rear blade, rear hay fork
    Modifications: none

Owned a 45 HP larger Kubota previously but had a much larger farm. With only 30 acres now this is perfect for my needs

    Year of Manufacture: 2011
Pros: just the right size for hobby farm type projects, not too big and does not leave ruts, good cat like stance. Going any larger would require a larger trailer to haul it
Cons: of course there is always things you wish you had a bigger tractor for, but used within it’s range it is great
Attachments: Front end loader, box blade, 60″ tiller, 6 ft disk, 2 row corn planter, fertilizer spreader, 6 ft york rake, bush hog
    Modifications: none

Very pleased. Seems very well built. Will post more after I have more hours on it.

    Year of Manufacture: 2011
Pros: Handles like a dream. Has more than enough power to pull a 66″ box blade. Pulls logs w/ little or no effort. Very economical fuel usage. FEL is matched for the tractor. Had no problem lifting a full bucket of gravel. Works very smoothly. Starts fast on the first crank. 4-wheel drive has gone through some really soupy areas & didn’t even think of getting stuck. Started right up when it was <20' F. (Western, NY). Can't wait for it to dry up a little so I can really put it through it's paces. HST is very smooth.
Cons: So far, none I can see.
Attachments: Front End Loader, 48″ forks, 66″ box blade. Loaded AG tires, Quick Hitch.

      Follow up on previous review.

Got down to 7′ F. Went out, held the key to warm the glow plugs for appx 10-seconds & it started right up. Still cannot believe how fuel efficient it is. I would recommend this tractor to anyone. Will soon be ready for the 50-hour service. Outstanding tractor so far.
