Kubota GR2020

There are 2 models of garden tractor lawn mower in the GR series. One is the Kubota GR2120, while the other, slightly less powerful is the Kubota GR2020, which this article is about. The GR 2020 is powered by a GH630 engine. This is a gasoline powered engine with 2 cylinders. The total size of the engine is 0.624 liters. The engine is prevented from overheating using an air cooling system. This engine has a total power output of 20 hp. The fuel tank that supplies the engine with gasoline can hold a maximum of 16 liters (4.2 US gallons).

The Kubota GR2020 is very easy to operate for a number of reasons. Probably the most useful thing about the garden tractor lawnmower is that it uses a hydrostatic gearbox to transfer power from the engine to the wheels. This hydrostatic transmission is controlled via a simple foot pedal. There is no gear changing! The GR 2020 is slowed down via a foot operated internal expanding brake. Steering on this lawnmower is also very comfortable thanks to it’s hydrostatic power steering that utilizes Kubota’s Glide Steer technology. Operating the garden tractor is quite comfortable, whether or not you are tall or small, thanks to an adjustable seat that can be slid forwards or backwards.

The mower deck on the Kubota GR2020 garden lawn mower has a cutting width of 48 inches. This mower deck is engaged with a hydraulic wet multi disc PTO clutch system. The mower deck is raised and lowered hydraulically from a high of 4 inches to a low of 1 inch above the ground. The raising and lowering is done via a dial gauge in 0.25 inch increments. The mower deck consists of 3 blades. There are a number of implements that can be attached to the GR 2020 that include the a rear bagger, a 48 inch front blade and a 46 inch snowblower.

One Review of the “Kubota GR2020”

  1. will says:

very easy to drive and engine has all the power I need to cut 2 acres a week. Cuts wet tall grass and does not bog down at all.

    Year of Manufacture: 2012
Pros: Design. Very sleek. Good power in tall wet grass. turning around trees and even small shrubs is fantastic. AND, no rut from a back wheel when turning on an incline. Love the wide deck and high back seat and the power steering makes it drive better than my car.
Debated about the diesel but chose the gas version .So far I have not been disappointed.
    Cons: none so far
    Attachments: none
    Modifications: none
