Kubota BX2200

The Kubota BX2200 lawn mower is of the ride on, garden tractor variety. It rolled off the Kubota assembly line for a period of 2 years from 2001 until 2003. The lawnmower is powered by a diesel Kubota engine with a displacement of 0.9 liters. This gives the mower a max power output of 16. 7 hp. This power is then routed to the rest of the wheels through a hydrostatic transmission. This means that there are no gears on the Kubota BX2200 lawnmower. Instead you just need to press down hard on or release the gas pedal to speed up or to slow down.

This garden tractor lawn mower weighs in at 725 kg (1600 lbs) making it a very large and heavy mower, especially when you compare it to other mowers from companies like John Deere that weigh far less, but have much more powerful engines. The Kubota BX2200 comes with a ROPS (roll bar) as standard, but not with a cab to protect the operator from the elements.

The great thing about this machine though is that it is compatible with a very large range of attachments from front end loaders to rotary tillers to scraper blades, soil pulverizers, box blades and sweeper brooms. If you are a fan of Kubota tractor and their smaller lawn mower counterparts, then you should definitely consider this model. Just be aware that the Kubota BX2200 weighs in at 725 kg (1600 lbs) so if you are using it on very soft ground it will leave thread marks unless you use very wide, soft tires.
