John Deere 7810

The John Deere 7810 is the follow up version of the John Deere 7800. This tractor is a part of the 7010 series manufactured by John Deere.

The production of the John Deere 7810 began in 1997. It was in 2003 that the production was discontinued. The entire production took place in the US.

The JD 7810 is known for its super powerful engine. It has a 6 cylinder, 175 HP engine designed by John Deere. With such high engine power, it is obvious that this model has a fuel storage capacity on the higher side and it can store upto 344 liters of fuel. The engine mainly runs on diesel.The John Deere 7810 has got a liquid cooling system and it can store upto 25 liters of coolant.

The John Deere 7810 is available in three different types of transmission. It has got PowrQuad, Powershift and Infinity Variable transmission.

The PowrQuad transmission has 16 front and reverse gears. The Powershift transmission consists of 7 reverse and 19 forward gears. The Infinity variable transmission has got infinite number of front as well as reverse gears. However, the infinity variable version was only available in the year 2003 unlike the other two types which were available much before.

The shipping weight of the John Deere 7810 is 13,910 lbs. The operating weight is 14,142 lbs while the ballasted weight touches up to 15,730 lbs. The JD 7810 has got a wheelbase of just over 100 inches. It has got a height of 118 inches.

The testing of the PowrQuad and the Powershift engine was carried out in 1997. Both the tests were done with diesel engine. The average PTO fuel consumption in both the cases was exactly 9.2 gal per hour. The maximum drawbar fuel consumed was 9.3 gal/h in case of the PowrQuad engine and it was 9.0 gal/h in case of Powershift engine.

The testing for the Infinity variable transmission engine was done in the last week of April in the year 2002. The average PTO fuel consumption here was 9.7 gal/h.
