The John Deere 710 tractor was built in the Mannheim production facility which is located in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The JD 710 is not that well known by a lot of people as it only had a 2 year production run from 1966 until 1967. The engine is a 4 cylinder diesel model. This motor uses a liquid cooling system to stop it from getting too hot. The total displacement of the engine comes to 3.3 liters. It’s power output is 50 hp. The engine powers the rear wheels of this 4×2 2WD tractor using a gearbox that gives it 10 speeds when it’s traveling forwards and 3 speeds when it’s traveling in reverse.

The engine in the John Deere 710 tractor powers the hydraulic system also which has a flow rate of 18 liters per minute (4.75 US gallons per minute). The category 1, three point hitch has a lifting capacity of 1300 kg (2866 lbs).

The total weight of the John Deere 710 tractor comes to 2295 kg (5060 lbs). It’s length comes to 3.53 m (139 inches) and it has a height of 2.4 m (94.5 inches) from ground level to the highest point on the tractor (exhaust). The JD 710 sits on large rear tires and small front tires. The rear wheels each measure 16.9-30 (16.9 inch width, 30 inch rim diameter) while the front wheels each measure 6.5-16 (6.5 inch width, 16 inch diameter). The JD 710 is not that common on farms these days. If you do see one, you will usually see it with either a improvised roll bar attached to it or a makeshift cab.
