John Deere 6300

The John Deere 6300 utility tractor, like the John Deere 6200, has a low profile variant. This is the John Deere 6300L. This low profile model is favored among users who need to use it in low ceiling sheds or in orchards and nurseries that often have low lying branches that can get caught in the hood or cab of the tractor. The engine powering the JD 6300L is designed by John Deere themselves. It is a 4039 model. This engine is a turbocharged diesel that has a displacement of 3.9 liters. The engine is cooled via a liquid cooling system that requires 11 liters of coolant and it’s kept lubricated using a system that needs to be filled with 12 liters of oil. It has a power output of 93 hp. The engine powering the standard JD 6300 is similar. It’s a CD4039, a 4 cylinder model that has a displacement of 3.9 liters. The power output for this engine comes to 80 hp.

Both the John Deere 6300 and the John Deere 6300L have a choice of 4 different gearboxes for controlling their speed. There is a JD PowrQuad Creeper transmission that gives 28 forward and reversing gears. The regular PowrQuad transmission gives it 16 forward and reversing gears. The SyncroPlus provides it with 12 speeds traveling forwards and just 4 for reversing. The last option is a SyncroPlus Creeper that gives it 21 gears going forwards and 7 when it’s reversing.

Both the John Deere 6300 and the John Deere 6300L are fantastic utility tractors that can work with a large variety of attachments (like the JD 620, JD 640SL and JD 640NSL front end loaders). Even though production on them finished in the nineties, they are still popular and well liked today. If you have ever used a JD 6300 utility tractor, then you can leave a review of your experiences with it in the field below.
