The John Deere 5095MH Hi Crop is a tractor that has been specifically designed so that it has a very high clearance height. This makes it prefect for driving over fruit and vegetables that cannot be touched with the tractor. It uses the same engine as on the John Deere 5095M. This is a PowerTech M4045 engine that is diesel powered and has a volume of 4.5 liters. The engine is liquid cooled through a system that needs 11.4 liters of coolant. The air intake into the engine passes through a dry type air filter which scrubs the air of dust which can potentially clog one of the 4 cylinders.

There is a choice of 1 standard and 3 optional transmissions on the John Deere 5095MH. The standard gearbox is a SyncShuttle Plus that gives the tractor 12 forward and 4 reverse gears. The 3 optional gearboxes are a SyncReverser gearbox that gives the tractor 16 gears in both forwards and reverse, a PowrReverser gearbox that also gives it 16 speeds in both forwards and reverse. The last is a PowrReverser Plus transmission that gives it 32 speeds going forward and 16 for reversing. All transmissions use a wet clutch.

The most striking thing about the tractor is it’s huge tires, they both measure 230/95R40 which makes it look a little odd when compared to most other tractors that have large rear wheels and small front ones. The John Deere 5095MH has the option of coming with either a cab or an open operators station (both of which have a ROPS). The shipping weight of the JD 5095MH is 3220 kg (7100 lbs) when it comes with an open operator’s station. The version with a cab has a shipping weight of 3538 kg (7800 lbs).
