John Deere 3320

The John Deere 3320 compact tractor is a small but efficient model in John Deere’s current line up. It is the bigger version of the John Deere 3120, while the John Deere 3520 is in turn the bigger, badder brother of the 3320. You will most likely find this tractor on either a small far or more likely being used in a large garden/estate or by a commercial landscaping outfit that need a versatile compact capable of handling many tasks with it’s multitude of optional extras.

The JD 3320 began production in 2005 and is still currently in production in 2010. Its gets it’s 32.5 hp from a 3 cylinder, 1.6 liter, Yanmar 3TNV88 engine requiring up to 7.2 liters of coolant to keep the engine from overheating. It has a category 1, 3 point hitch at the back and has a lift capacity of 1147 kg (2530 lbs) allowing it to easily pull large loads. It boasts 12 gears both going forward and in reverse thanks to its PowrReverser transmission.The 3320 measures 1.73m (68 inches) at it’s widest point and has a turning radius of 2.68m (8.8 feet).

The John Deere 3320 also comes with the option of a cab instead of just a roll bar, which makes operating it in harsher conditions a breeze thanks to it’s 15,000 BU heater, while during the summer it’s efficient blowers and condensers will help prevent the cab from overheating. This is all achieved while allowing the operators adequate room to move inside.

On top of being comfortable to operate, the 3320 comes with a range of optional attachments. It can accommodate a 1.52 m (60 inches) heavy duty rotary broom to a wide range of scarifiers, box blades, core aerators, land planes, landscape rakes, soil pulverizers, wood chippers, backhoes and front end loaders. This is not forgetting the wide array of mowing decks (up to 72 inches wide) that can be attached. All these attachments are what make the 3320 the fantastically versatile tractor that it is. Small farmers love it because it can be used to for a wide variety of farm tasks, while at the same time, it is also much valued by commercial landscapers and garden contractors due to the large number of gardening/landscaping specific attachments for it that make their job that much easier.
