Husqvarna RZ4824F

The Husqvarna RZ4824F zero turn lawn mower is also sometimes know as model 966 67 83-01. This 24 hp, 48 inch lawnmower is powered by the same Kawasaki FR series engine that you can find in the Husqvarna RZ5424 zero turn lawnmower. This twin cylinder engine has a displacement of 0.726 liters and is air cooled. The fuel tank on the RZ 4824F is capable of holding up to 13.2 liters (3.5 US gallons) of fuel which is adequate for a fairly long operating time before it needs to be refueled. Power from the engine gets transferred to the wheels through a EZT Hydro-Gear transmission that allows the operator to vary the amount of power each rear wheel receives. This is what allows you to execute turns with a zero turning radius on this mower.

The Husqvarna RZ4824F zero turn lawnmower is capable of cutting up to 2.5 acres of grass per hour. However if you are mowing a lawn that has many small and awkward corners and areas, then you won’t be able to cover such a large area per hour. As already mentioned, the mower deck has a cutting width of 48 inches. But it’s total width is a bit larger at 1.52 m (60 inches) due to the large discharge flap that prevents stray debris from being flung into the air.

One Review of the “Husqvarna RZ4824F”

  1. Jim says:

    One Year

    Year of Manufacture: 2012
    Pros: The Kawasaki motor!
Cons: I had a Toro before I bought this mower and wish I had stayed with Toro. The only reason for getting the Husqvarna was reading such good reviews. I don’t know where they came up with the CRAP in the review, but, they were WRONG! Everything except the Kawasaki motor is CRAP and I so wish I could trade for a TORO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
