Husqvarna 2748GLS

The Husqvarna 2748GLS garden tractor lawnmower is very similar to, but has a smaller mower deck than the Husqvarna 2754GLS lawn mower. The mower deck on the 2748 GLS has a cutting width of 48 inches (which is hopefully fairly obvious from the name!). This mower deck has 3 blades working together which produce a much cleaner and finer cut than a single blade would working alone. The deck can be raised or lowered over 6 different heights that each differ by roughly 0.5 inches. The lowest height that the deck operates at is 0.5 inches above the ground while the highest that it operates at is 3.5 inches above the ground.

The tires that the Husqvarna 2748GLS sits on are fairly big so as to distribute it’s weight into the ground without leaving large thread marks. The rear wheels on the 2748 GLS are the biggest measuring 20×10 (20 inch diameter, 10 inch width) and the front tires are a good bit smaller, each measuring 15×6 (15 inch diameter, 6 inch width). The rear wheels drive the lawn tractor and the front tires are responsible for steering it. The seat on the mower has a 15 inch high back which gives the driver very good support during long operating times.

The engine powering the Husqvarna 2748GLS garden tractor lawn mower is a Briggs and Stratton Vanguard Series motor. This Vanguard model provides the 2738 GLS with 23 hp. The engine is a 2 cylinder with cast iron cylinder liners. The total engine size is 0.721 liters. The engine draws gasoline from a fuel tank that can hold up to 11.4 liters (3 US gallons) of gasoline. Even though this both a large and powerful lawn mower, it still has a fairly decent minimum turning radius of just 18 inches. If you currently or previously have owned or even used the 2748GLS lawn mower, then make sure to leave a review of your experiences with it.

This has been the best mower that I have ever owned in my 61 years, no questions about it. Very dependable, all I have done is change oil and blades since buying it. Now I need a $2.00 spring. My last mower was costing me at least $200-$250 a tear in parts.

Cons: Loose steering wheel, dome problems with the headlights.
    Attachments: 3 bag leaf collector
    Modifications: none
