The John Deere 2550 tractor is part of the same series of machines that also includes the John Deere 2150 and the John Deere 2350 tractors. This is the 2050 series of compact utility tractors that was designed and built throughout the 1980′s. The tractors were mostly built in the Mannheim plant which John Deere run in Germany. The JD 2550 has a fuel tank that holds up to 90.8 liters (24 US gallons). This fuel tank feeds the engine which is a John Deere made 4 cylinder. The engine is naturally aspirated and kept cool using a liquid cooling system that holds up to 12.9 liters of coolant. The engine fires at a compression ratio of 17.4 to 1. It has a dual paper element air filter to stop damaging contaminants from getting into the combustion chambers. The 3.9 liter engine has a max power output of 65 hp.

The engine powers the wheels on the John Deere 2550 through one of two different gearbox choices. The first is a John Deere built Top-Shaft Synchronized, partially synchronized transmission that gives the operator 8 speeds going forwards and 4 when reversing. The top speed of the tractor using this gearbox is 27.3 kph (17 mph). The other gearbox choice gives the operator twice the number of gears, 16 going forward and 8 for reversing. The gearbox is a partial power shift, JD Hi-Lo Top Shaft Synchronized which gives the JD 2550 a top speed of 28.6 kph (17.8 mph).

The engine on the John Deere 2550 tractor also is responsible for powering the hydraulics which in turn powers the rear hitch (category 1/2) as well as a front loader attachment. The hydraulics system is a closed center type that has a valve flow rate of 49.2 liters per minute (13 US gallons per minute) and operates at a pressure of 158.6 bar (2300 psi). This system gives the rear hitch a maximum lifting capacity of 1240 kg (2735 lbs).

The John Deere 2350 tractor is the second smallest in the JD 2050 series of compact utility tractors. The smallest is the John Deere 2150 tractor, but if you are looking for something bigger, then the John Deere 2550 might take your fancy. The JD 2350 has a diesel engine that John Deere built themselves. This engine is a 4 cylinder with natural aspiration. It’s prevented from overheating thanks to a liquid cooling system that holds up to 12.9 liters. The engine itself has a total displacement of 3.9 liters and fires at a compression ratio of 17.4 to 1. It’s started with a 12 volt battery.

The John Deere 2350 tractor has a choice of 2 different gearboxes. The larger is a JD Hi-Lo Top-Shaft Synchronized partial power shift transmission that gives the tractor 16 gears going forwards and 8 for when it’s reversing. The tractor has a top speed of 28.6 kph (17.8 mph) going forward and uses a dry disc clutch for changing gears with this transmission. The smaller gearbox is a JD Top-Shaft Synchronized transmission which is partially synchronized. This gives the tractor 8 forward speeds and 4 for backing up. It gives the JD 2350 a top speed of 28.7 kph (17.8 mph).

The John Deere 2350 tractor is available with either a 4X2 2WD chassis or a 4X4 MFWD 4WD chassis. This means that the front wheels vary in size depending on the chassis choice. The front wheels on the 2WD chassis measure 7.5-16 (7.5 inch width, 16 inch rim diameter) while the front wheels on the 4WD chassis measure 11.2-24 (11.2 inch width, 24 inch rim diameter). The rear wheels on both chassis options are the same. They each measure 16.9-30 (16.9 inch width, 30 inch rim diameter). You can leave your thoughts on the JD 2350 below by filling out the form. Try to remain objective throughout your review so that potential purchasers get a decent insight into it’s qualities/problems.

The John Deere 2150 tractor is part of the 2050 series of compact utility tractors. This machine is powered by a diesel engine that is designed and built by JD themselves. The engine is a 3 cylinder which gives it a total volume of 2.9 liters. The engine is naturally aspirated and is fairly efficient, burning 12.2 liters per hour (3.2 US gallons per hour). The engine is kept cool using a liquid cooling system that holds up to 10.4 liters of water. It fires at a compression ratio of 17.4 to 1. The engine uses a dual paper element air filter to stop contaminants from getting inside the engine where they can cause damage. The max power output from the engine comes to 46 hp. The engine is started with a 12 volt battery that gets recharged by a 55 amp alternator.

The JD engine in the John Deere 2150 powers the wheels through a choice of 2 different gearboxes. The first is a Top-Shaft gearbox that gives it 8 speeds going forward and 4 when reversing. The top speed that this gearbox gives the tractor is 26.8 kph (16.7 mph). The other gearbox choice is a JD Hi-Lo TSS transmission. This partial power shift doubles the amount of gears, giving it 16 going forward and 8 when in reverse. This gearbox gives the tractor a top speed of 29.4 kph (18.3 mph).

The engine on the John Deere 2150 also powers the hydraulic system. This is a closed center system that has a valve flow rate of 49.2 liters per minute (13 US gallons per minute). The maximum safe ballasted weight of the JD 2150 is 2689 kg (5930 lbs). The tractor is 1.74 m (68.7 inches) wide. This tractor is the smallest in the John Deere 2050 series. If you like it but would prefer a larger, more powerful model, then you should check out the John Deere 2350 or the John Deere 2550 tractors.

The John Deere 2141 tractor was built in South Africa in the Nigel production facility. This tractor had a production run of 6 years from 1982 up until production ceased in 1987. The tractor is powered by an engine that was designed and produced by ADE. This is a diesel engine that is liquid cooled. The engine has 4 cylinders which gives it a total displacement of 3.9 liters. It is rated at 2300 RPMs. The air intake into the engine passes through a replaceable dry type air filter which prevents it from taking in dust or other particulate matter which is known for severely disrupting the combustion process and even clogging the engine. The max power output from the engine comes to 76.4 hp.

The engine transfers power to the wheels of the John Deere 2141 through a gearbox that gives it 8 speeds when traveling forwards and 4 for reversing. The engine on the JD 2141 also powers the rear hitch. The tractor was originally available with 2 different chassis options, a 4X2 2WD and a 4X4 MFWD 4WD chassis. The 2WD chassis gives the tractor a total weight of 3538 kg (7800 lbs). The 4WD chassis option gives the tractor a total weight of 3946 kg (8700 lbs). There are a number of attachments and implements that are compatible with the JD 2141. These range from the obvious ones like a front loader to less used ones like rotovators (tillers).

The John Deere 2141 tractor comes with an open operator station or the option of a cab. People who have purchased it with an open operator station are known to have later added a roll bar. You can review the JD 2141 tractor below by using the form. Make sure to mention any attachments or implements that you use with it to give people an idea of what it’s capable of.

The John Deere 2140 tractor was built from 1980 until 1987. During this long production run, all construction of the tractor took place in JD’s plant which is located in Mannheim in Germany. When buying the tractor brand new, you had the choice of getting it with a 4X2 2WD chassis or a 4X4 MFWD 4WD chassis. The tractor’s weight obviously differs depending on the chassis. The 4WD model weighs in at 3946 kg (8700 lbs), while the 2WD tractor weighs 3538 kg (7800 lbs). The wheelbase of the tractor is 2.29 m (90.2 inches).

The engine powering the John Deere 2140 tractor is built in house by John Deere themselves. This engine is a 4 cylinder that is cooled using a liquid cooling system that requires 15.1 liters of water. The engine is turbocharged and is obviously powered by diesel. It fires at a compression ratio of 16.8 to 1. The lubrication system charged with keeping the engine properly oiled and working smoothly holds 7.6 liters of motor oil. The total volume of the engine is 3.9 liters and it’s max power output comes to 82 hp. The engine powers the wheels through one of 2 different gearboxes. One choice is a transmission that gives the tractor 8 speeds going forward and 4 for reversing. The other gearbox choice gives the JD 2140 double the amount of gears, 16 speeds going forward and 8 for reversing.

The engine on the John Deere 2140 also powers it’s rear 3 point hitch. This is category 1/2 hitch that has a maximum lifting capacity of 2560 kg (7850 lbs). The engine powers the hydraulic system which in turn powers the hitch. This is a closed center hydraulic system that has a capacity to hold up to 41.6 liters of hydraulic fluid. It has a flow rate of 39 liters per minute (10.3 US gallons per minute). It’s operating pressure is 170 bar (2466 psi).

The John Deere 2135 tractor is a little similar to the John Deere 2120 and the John Deere 2130 tractors as they are all roughly the same size and they were all built during the 1970′s. All three tractors were also all built in Europe. The JD 2135 is built on a 4×2 2WD chassis. It thankfully uses power steering which makes it a lot easier to control than other tractors from this time that didn’t use power steering. The brakes are hydraulic. The tractor is keystarted using a 12 volt batttery.

The engine powering the John Deere 2135 tractor is made by the team at JD themselves. This engine is diesel powered and liquid cooled. The engine is a 4 cylinder and has a max power output of 75 hp. This JD engine uses a dry type air filter which stops dust and other particles from getting sucked into the air intake and ultimately into the engine where it can sometimes cause serious damage. The engine transfers power to the rear wheels to power the tractor forward using a Synchro-Gear gearbox that gives the operator 8 speeds when traveling forward and 4 speeds when it’s reversing.

The John Deere 2135 tractor is compatible with a number of attachments which allow the operator to do pretty much whatever they want with the tractor. You can add a front loader, plow, fertilizer spreader, fork, rotovator, trailer and many more. The form below can be used to leave your thoughts on the JD 2135 tractor. Make sure to include any problems or any unexpected great things you found when using the tractor to give potential purchasers a good objective overview into whether or not they should consider purchasing it.

The John Deere 2130 tractor was built throughout the seventies from 1973 until 1979. This is a utility tractor that was produced in JD’s Mannheim plant which is located in Germany. The tractor is available with either a 4×2 2WD chassis or with a 4X4 MFWD 4WD chassis. On the weighing scales, the tractor comes in at 2712 kg (5980 lbs). Most of this weight is supported on rear wheels which each measure 15.5-38 (15.5 inch width, 38 inch rim diameter). As the JD 2130 is quite old, it doesn’t have the option of power steering. Instead it uses a worm and nut steering configuration.

The fuel tank on the John Deere 2130 can hold up to 90.1 liters (23.8 US gallons) of diesel. This diesel fuels the engine which is designed and built in house. The engine is a 4 cylinder that has a total displacement of 3.9 liters. The engine is a 4 cylinder and uses a liquid cooling system to prevent it from overheating. This cooling system holds up to 11.5 liters of water. The max power output from the engine is 75 hp and it fires at a compression ratio of 16.8 to 1. The lubrication system for the engine on JD 2130 can hold 8.5 liters of oil.

Power from the engine on the John Deere 2130 gets to the wheels through one of 2 possible gearbox choices. The first gearbox choice has 16 speeds going forward and 8 for reversing. The second transmission choice gives the JD 2130 half this amount, 8 speeds going forwards and 4 for reversing. You can leave a review of the tractor below using the form. If possible, try to be as balanced and objective as possible by including both the great and the awful things you found when using the tractor. You can also rate the tractor for safety, reliability, performance and your overall satisfaction.

The John Deere 2120 tractor was built for a period of 4 years from 1969 up until 1972. The tractor was built in Germany in the John Deere plant in Mannheim as well as in their Mexico plant. The tractor is powered by a John Deere designed and built engine. This is a naturally aspirated diesel that has a total displacement of 3.6 liters. The engine is a 4 cylinder that is prevented form overheating thanks to a liquid cooling system. The engine powers the wheels on the tractor through a choice of 2 different transmissions. The first is a 16 forward/8 reverse transmission. The other gearbox choice gives the tractor half the amount of gears; 8 for traveling forward and 4 for reversing. The JD 2120 is only available with a 4×2 2WD chassis.

The John Deere 2120 has a fuel tank that can hold up to 73.8 liters (19.5 US gallons) of diesel. When people were buying the tractor new, they had a choice of getting it with either an open operator station or instead with a cab. The engine on the JD 2120 also powers the rear 3 point hitch. This hitch has a maximum lifting capacity of 2040 kg (4498 lbs). The wheelbase of the tractor measures 2.18 m (86 inches). It weighs in at 3000 kg (6615 lbs). The rear wheels which power the tractor forward each measure 15.5-38 (15.5 inch width, 38 inch rim diameter). The front wheels are obviously smaller, each measuring 7.5-16 (7.5 inch width, 16 inch rim diameter).

The minimum turning radius of the John Deere 2120 comes to 7.4 m while it’s total length is 3.6 m (143 inches). The hydraulics system on the tractor which powers the rear hitch has a flow rate of 46.9 liters per minute (12.4 US gallons per minute). You can review the JD 2120 by filling out the form below. You can also rate your experience with it with regard to overall satisfaction, performance, reliability and safety.

The John Deere 2035 tractor was built for a period of 3 years during the seventies from 1977 when production on it first started until 1979. The tractor is available in either 2WD or with 4WD MFWD. The tractor was built in JD’s Spanish facility which is located in Getafe. When buying the JD 2035 tractor brand new, you had a choice of getting it with either an open operator station or instead with a cab. Some people who bought the tractor with the open operator station have added their own roll bar by either welding or bolting it on (although this does not always make the roll bar entirely secure).

The John Deere 2035 gets it’s power from a John Deere designed and built engine. This is a 4 cylinder diesel that is liquid cooled. The engine has a replaceable dry type air filter which stops small particulate matter from getting into the engine and combustion chambers. The max power output from the engine is 65 hp. It uses a continuously variable transmission to transfer power from the engine to the wheels. The rear wheels which are completely responsible for powering the 2WD tractor each measure 18.4-30 (18.4 inch width, 30 inch rim diameter). The front wheels which also power the JD 2035 on the 4WD MFWD model each measure 7.4-16 (7.4 inch width, 16 inch rim diameter).

If you have owned or even operated the John Deere 2035, then make sure to leave a review below as it’s not the best known machine from JD. Try to include as much detail as possible about your experiences with it. Even if you have had a negative experience operating it try to include any positives too to give an objective look into what owning a JD 2035 entails.

The John Deere 2900 tractor is the largest in the 2000 series of tractors that also includes the John Deere 2400, the John Deere 2700 and the John Deere 2800 tractors. The JD 2900 tractor gets it’s power from a diesel engine that is turbocharged. The engine is a 4 cylinder that has a total displacement of 4.2 liters. It uses a dry type air filter which prevents dust and other particulate matter from entering the engine where it can clog the combustion chambers and even damage the engine. The engine has a max power output of 106 hp. It is rated at 2200 RPMs.

There are 2 gearbox choices for the John Deere 2900 tractor. The larger give the operator 16 forward speeds but only 4 speeds when it’s reversing. The smaller transmission has 8 gears for traveling forwards as well as 8 for reversing. The JD 2900 and the rest of the 2000 series is a little different from most John Deere tractors built around this time. This is because that although it was designed by John Deere, it was built by a company called Zetor in the Czech Republic. The tractor weighs in at 1451 kg (3200 lbs).

The John Deere 2900 comes with a choice of either a 2WD or a 4WD MFWD chassis, depending on your needs. It also comes with a choice of either an open operator’s station or a cab. Many people get confused when they hear that the JD 2900 is part of the 2000 series. This is because there is more than just one ’2000 series’ of tractors. The most well known 2000 series includes the John Deere 2305, the John Deere 2320, the John Deere 2520 and the John Deere 2720 tractors. You can leave a review of the 2900 using the form below. Fill out each field as much as possible while making sure to list but your positive and negative experiences with it so that potential purchasers get a good overall overview of it.
