Cub Cadet GTX2154LE

The Cub Cadet GTX2154 lawn mower is powered by the exact same engine that powers the Cub Cadet GTX2100 lawnmower. This is a 23 hp Command, 2 cylinder, gasoline engine that is built by Kohler. The oil capacity of the engine is 1.9 liters. The GTX 2154LE uses a direct shaft drive as opposed to a belt to transfer power from the engine. This makes the power transfer a lot more efficient, with less power lost. The transmission powering the wheels is a hydrostatic one, giving the Cub Cadet infinite speeds going forward as well as infinite speeds when it’s reversing. The transmission box has a capacity to hold 5.4 liters of transmission fluid.

The length of the Cub Cadet GTX2154LE is 1.98 m (78 inches), although with the addition of things like snowblower attachments or other implements, it’s total length is going to be a lot greater than this. As this is a large machine, the wheels are also quite big so that they distribute the weight into the ground without leaving noticeable thread marks. Each rear wheel measures 23×9.5 (23 inch diameter, 9.5 inch width) while each front tire measures 16×6.5 (16 inch diameter, 6.5 inch width). The wheelbase of the GTX 2154LE comes to 1.3 m (51 inches).

The top speed of the Cub Cadet GTX 2154 LE tractor lawn mower is 10.5 kph (6.5 mph) when traveling forwards while it’s also quite nippy when it’s reversing with a speed of 5.6 kph (3.5 mph). The actual mower deck on the GTX 2154LE has a cutting width of 54 inches using 3 blades. A similar but smaller model to the Cub Cadet GTX2154 in the Series 2000 from Cub Cadet is the Cub Cadet GT2000 ride on tractor lawn mower. If you own one of these mowers, then please feel free to leave a review below to let others know what you think of it. Don’t forget to include details of attachments you use with it, whether they are snow blowers, utility carts or something else.

One Review of the “Cub Cadet GTX2154LE”

  1. Bob Vinci says:

    Undecided

    Year of Manufacture: 2011
Pros: Only have 4 hours on my Cub Cadet GTX2154LE. Thusfar I feel like the it has plenty of mowing power and it’s a good clean cut.
Cons: My concern is that my 3 acre lot is hilly with rough terrain and I’m getting high centered even with the mower in the up position. I’m planning on buying a snow thrower but I’m very concerned, although when I remove the mower that should take care of the clearance issue.
Attachments: 54″ inch, performance is good, but clearance is low even when it’s in the up position.
